The U.S.S. Kilauea (AE-26) is an ammunition ship I served on from November 1967 to June 1971.  It was commissioned in the U.S. Navy on August 10th of 1968.  I am an original crew member (Plank Owner) of the Kilauea or as we sometimes called her the "Killer Whale".  The Kilauea is the first in a class of ammunition ships.
